Engineer , Characterization (HW & SI) |
|
Responsible for characterization of high-speed mixed signal IC chips, particularly for GHz high-speed serial link type products. The prospective candidate will perform characterization works and test/evaluation board design.
The job includes but is not limited to: board schematic design, layout instructions of signal integrity & power integrity, board & chip bring-up and debugging, BER (Bit Error Rate) test, eye diagram test, lnoise immunity, timing issues such as setup/hold time violation and jitter tolerance and so on.

-BS and 2 years or MS and 1 year of experience;
-Familiar with high speed serial link technologies, such HDMI, SATA and so on.
-With board level design and debugging capabilities. Experience with SerDes development will be preferred.
-With one or several of the following abilities: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer using experience; high-speed PCB schematic and PCB design ability; transmission line effect and signal integrity knowledge; familiar with simulation software such as Spectra, Hspice, ADS, HFSS and so on; with certain analog circuit design ability.
-Strong English communication ability;

| This job focuses on the software development and debugging for the chips/products of Silicon Image. The software development work includes software firmware development and driver development. Also this job needs the engineer cooperate with the hardware team on debugging work. |

1) Familiar with C/C++, knowledge of C# and Java is a plus
2) Familiar with software development on different OS, Windows and Linux
3) Knowledge of HDMI, HDCP, HD video and audio is a plus
4) Familiar with firmware and driver development
5) Knowledge of embedded system is a plus
6) Knowledge of hardware and system architecture is a plus
7) Good command of listening, speaking and writing English
8) Good communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the flexibility
