What is LiquidHD™ technology?
LiquidHD™ technology is the foundation for whole home, high definition multi-media content distribution over IP networks. LiquidHD technology provides the intelligence to CE, mobile and PC devices to discover one another, securely stream high definition video, audio and photos and to send applications and user interfaces from one to another.

How will consumers benefit from LiquidHD technology?
LiquidHD technology provides a simple way for consumers to access and control their content throughout the home regardless of device location.  LiquidHD technology can connect devices in the home entertainment center to one another over an HDMI 1.4 compliant cable and to any other LiquidHD enabled device over the home network.  LiquidHD technology also provides consumers the flexibility to choose the best way to network their electronic devices whether over wired solutions including Ethernet, Powerline, Coax and HDMI 1.4 or over wireless links such as Wi-Fi.

How is LiquidHD technology implemented in CE devices?
Created by the co-inventor of HDMI, LiquidHD technology consists of a suite of light-weight protocols that includes device discovery, secure media streaming, device control and remote user interface.  These protocols are specifically designed for easy integration into semiconductor devices and consumer electronic products.  Just as the HDMI standard simplified the home entertainment center connections by combining digital audio, video and control (CEC) into a single cable, LiquidHD technology combines digital audio and video, control and user interface over any IP capable network.
